Accessibility

Reading, navigating and printing Resilient UK, including the limits of paper resources and browser settings.

Reading and finding your way

Resilient UK aims for WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility. This is an accessibility aim, not a certification or a claim that every combination of browser and assistive technology has been tested.

Pages use headings, landmarks and descriptive links. A skip link moves past navigation. Menus work with a keyboard, focus is visible, and text can enlarge and wrap. Ordinary reading and navigation work without JavaScript.

Meaning does not depend on colour alone. Supporting photographs carry no essential instructions; the adjacent text explains the subject. The site does not rely on animation, and its styling respects reduced-motion preferences.

Printing and using paper

Guides retain their content and sources when printed. The four blank resources have labelled handwriting spaces and clear safety and privacy notices. Choose A4 at 100% scale and follow the orientation shown on each resource.

The power-needs inventory uses landscape paper; the other resources use portrait. Browser-added headers, footers and printer margins can affect pagination. Background graphics are not needed.

A handwritten sheet is not an accessible digital record. The browser page keeps the field prompts and guidance readable as text; someone who cannot write on paper may need another person’s agreed help. There is no online form or saving service.
